To encourage transparency and goodwill in all dealings within and outside the African American community, especially as it concerns the business of AAAG and interaction with one another.

To embrace Pan Africanism, broadly defined to strengthen interactions that mutually benefits all persons of African descent.
To educate African-Americans about Ghanaians culture and norms. AAAG also seeks to educate Ghanaians about the African-American experience and culture.
To encourage respect for the basic human and civil rights of all Africans.
